On 11 June 2025 at 3:00 PM, Youth Voice of Bangladesh (YVB), one of the country’s leading youth development organizations, organized a special meeting in Chittagong to prepare for the upcoming Chittagong City General Council 2025. The meeting was attended by the recently appointed members of the YVB Chittagong City Working Committee 2025, who actively participated in planning and discussions.

Based on members’ inputs, 03 key Wings were formed to ensure the success of the General Council 2025:

• Event & Logistic Wing: Responsible for venue management, scheduling, logistics, and overall event coordination.
• Media & Communication Wing: Tasked with publicity, public relations, social media outreach, and official communications.
• Research Wing: Will support policy proposals, theme-based research, and future planning initiatives.

During the meeting, members engaged in open discussions, providing valuable insights on potential plans and activities for the General Council. Concluding the session, YVB Chairman Barrister Tareque Akbar Khondakar emphasized the importance of member feedback and provided strategic guidance for the successful organization of the event. He remarked:

“This Council is not just a formal gathering; it is a vital platform for youth leadership recognition, exchange of ideas, and determining future action plans.”

It was announced that the Chittagong City General Council 2025 will be held in July, bringing together newly elected members for introductions and a panel discussion on the theme: “Youth in Leadership: Blueprint for a New Bangladesh.” Additionally, key decisions regarding YVB’s future initiatives will be made based on member feedback. Following this council, a new youth leadership-focused Working Wing will be established for Dhaka. Through this coordinated and dynamic initiative, YVB aims to further strengthen its organizational structure in Chittagong, fostering innovation, efficiency, and action-oriented youth leadership.
