Sports Competition on Independence Day in Chittagong | Daylong Event with Street Children and Youth Participation

On the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day, the Chittagong branch of Youth Voice of Bangladesh (YVB) organized a daylong sports competition. The event was held at Jhautola, Chattogram, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the participation of street children and young members of the organization.

The competitions included:

  • Running and marble-spoon race for street children
  • Musical chairs and marble-spoon race for girls
  • A 10-over limited-over cricket tournament among YVB members

Objectives of the program:

  • To ensure temporary participation of underprivileged children in joy and recreation
  • To unite, engage, and nurture the youth as energetic and compassionate citizens through sports
  • To foster fraternity, collective spirit, and teamwork

At the end of the event, prizes were distributed among the winners. The organizers highlighted that sports not only serve as entertainment but also help instill leadership qualities and teamwork among the youth. This initiative is regarded as a unique example of Youth Voice of Bangladesh’s commitment to humanitarian and social responsibility.
